Welcome to Lyceum Cavite!

The blogger had a wonderful opportunity to tour and take a walk in our university's newest campus, the Lyceum Cavite . Considered as the first resort campus, let's take a look at one of the most beautiful and modern schools of today.
The campus is strategically located in the heart of General Trias, Cavite, about 15-20 kms away from Intramuros , and is accessible by land by bus, jeepney or by taxi. The land area is definitely larger than our Manila campus and there are 2 buildings, separated by a wide area where you can relax and bond with friends in front of 2 mini lakes (with ducks pa!) and wander around and breathe fresh air!! That's one thing we don't have here in Manila. Let's admit it.

One unique feature of this campus is the large backyard at its back, apart from its parking lot, it also has a wide area of green fields where some land animals like ponies, goats and some others wander around and claim it as if its their home. The whole campus currently is about 90% complete, still under completion especially with air-conditioning, and some finishing touches.

We also visited, of course, some classrooms, the library, the canteen, HRM laboratories, Admissions office, and the registrar. Classroom chairs are entirely different than what we have here in Manila, theirs are green-colored fiber glass/chrome chairs. They have whiteboards, but they do not write onto it. It is covered by a transparent board and so it looks so clean. The library, on the other hand, still needs a lot of improvement and more books! They have minimal number of computer stations, and internet wires have yet to be set up. One more thing, most parts of the school, if not the whole, does not rely much on lightings, natural light from outside brings so much light inside the classrooms .

Classes here have started last June, almost one thousand students have enrolled, making them the pioneer batch of the campus.
